Tiger and mouse families

Were not only good neighbors

They were the two best friends

The world has ever known

Their friendship was so very strong

Only death could ever separate them

One day, however, something happened

That really tested the walls of their friendship

Tiger’s young and beautiful wife suddenly died

And there was neither land nor anybody to dig her grave

Tiger was so bad and unfriendly that everybody hated him

To prove their friendship, mouse gave the land and dug the grave

This strengthened their friendship even more

The two were not only special; they were inseparable

Tiger often provided meat for mouse’s house;

Mouse also and always provided palm nuts for Tiger’s

In the glare, pride and joy of their friendship

Mouse’s very loving and caring mother too dropped dead

The entire community mournfully gathered in full

And traditionally needed a very fat cow for the burial feast

Unfortunately, neither Tiger nor Mouse had any cattles

And a cow was extremely expensive those days

A cow cost a huge sum of United States ten cents; poor Mouse!

Poor Mouse still had no money; only Tiger had some money

But Tiger was so mean; he won’t give it FREE of interest

He wanted a very huge interest of United States two cents

Reluctantly, poor Mouse helplessly accepted and took it

But would only pay if he grew big, the deal was

?

After the interment, the deal was gentlemently finalized

Only five years on, tiger came for his money

But Mouse insisted, "I’m still too small to pay, you know"

You can see how very small in size still, Mouse pleaded.

Tiger understood and left but after ten years he returned

The answer was disappointedly and annoyingly the same

"Just when will you ever grow…," Tiger shouted

"Pretty soon, Sir, just hold your peace," Mouse replied

The two best friends since creation

Tiger and Mouse – were now at logger-head

Their once strong friendship was now threatened for money

Out of deep grudge, Rat instigated Tiger to use force on Mouse

Mouse loved to Rat’s wife; this drilled a wedge between the two

So as Tiger was angrily leaving Mouse’s little house

Rat shrewdly whispered, "That’s all his size; he can’t grow bigger;

In fact, he is the oldest in this kingdom…"

Mr. Tiger could not really believe what Mr. Rat told him

To be convinced, he consulted independent witnesses

Very surprisingly, the answer was unquestionably the same

This enraged Tiger; he decidedly took to using force

But as always, the secret leaked out to Mouse

To avoid disgrace, Mouse and family escaped into the hole

The hole was so small Tiger was too big to enter into it

All he could do was to stand over the hole and roar loudly

"Stop the noise, just come in for your money," Mouse teased;

"All the witnesses you need are here to see me paying you…"

So angry, Tiger had absolutely no choice but to leave

He could not enter into the hole to claim all his money

Only days on, Tiger recalled Mouse’s generosity of old

Very thoughtfully, he decided to wave the debt to friendship

He was too sorry to have listened to Mr. Rat to disgrace Mouse

But it was too late; Mouse could no longer trust Tiger

Thus the two best friends since creation

Simply fell apart because of Tiger’s pronounced ungratefulness

Tiger neither remembered nor appreciated Mouse’s help of yesterday

Mouse has not grown any bigger to this day

Mouse and Cat Families are distant blood cousins

The both bear deep roots to some ancestral line

Rat once raped Cat’s lovely wife and acted frisky on Cat

Mouse ran to cousin Cat and alerted him of Rat’s behavior

On oath, Cat promised to take revenge on "frisky" Rat;

"That foolish and dirty Rat that raped my wife last week…

Just as he wanted Tiger to do, I will kill and then eat him…"

And Cat has always kept his vow to this day.

And Cat has always kept his vow to this day.

?

NOTE: When the dollar sign is in others’ eyes plus power, selfishness, pride, arrogance and ungratefulness and the likes set in. it really takes a humble heart for one to honestly show appreciation to others for their generosity of yesterday. Tiger was very unreasonable, now that he had small money that Mouse badly needed to bury his mother. There are many tigers around you. Watch out!
