The body of a 24-year-old man only identified as ‘Cyrus Underground’ was over the weekend discovered dead floating on the bank of the St. Paul River near the Coffee Farm Community in Caldwell, outside Monrovia.

Cyrus whose body was found floating on the river by some land surveyors, who had gone to survey a parcel of land in the community on Saturday morning, was said to have gone missing since last Thursday.

According to eyewitnesses, the deceased was a private security guard assigned to one of Benoni Urey’s residences in the Caldwell area and was seen with some of his friends under the influence of alcohol on the night he reportedly went missing. The eyewitnesses did not disclose the identity of his friends.

The residents revealed that his clothes, slippers and other personal belonging were found the next morning lying on the ground where Mr. Urey’s boats usually dock.

One resident identified as Eric Berrien told the In Profile Daily that following the discovery of the deceased’s personal belongings, fishermen in the area conducted a search operation on the river on Friday, but they were unable to discover his body on that day.

Meanwhile, investigation conducted by officers of the Zone 7 police station in the community has ruled out any foul play leading to the cause of Cyrus’ death.
