The Liberia National Police (LNP) says it is investigating two Nigerian drug suspects in connection with Illegal possession and sale of narcotics in the country. LNP Spokesman George Bardue named the suspects who are being investigated by the Anti- Narcotic Unit of the Force as Junior Okafor, 31, and Joshua Eziuzu, 31.

Mr. Bardue disclosed that the suspects were arrested at the Roberts International Airport Terminal- eight with ten tubes of drugs believed to be heroine. According to him, they were arrested late Wednesday evening, June 20, 2012 by Police in lower Margibi County.

 The LNP Spokesman said the substance which weighs 49.1 grams is valued at L$63,850.00.  He indicated that the suspects are currently detained at the LNP Headquarters for further investigation.


Mr. Bardu stated that the crime is in violation of the Public Health Law of Liberia.
